Draft 3
Chronology of G30S / PKI Bloody Events According to
Witnesses,Got Save by Falling Asleep Under the Truck
Sukitman is a policeman who survived the brutal events of the G30S
He said what happened on the day the generals were kidnapped.
at that time Sukitman was on guard at the Vocational Section of Kebayoran Baru (now Kores 704) located
at Wisma AURI on Jalan Iskandarsyah, Jakarta.
At 3:00 a.m., Sukitman, who at that time was a Police Officer,
was carrying out an assignment with his same rank colleague, Sutarso.
Sukitman said at that time he heard the sound of gunfire originating not far from his post.
"At that time the police rode bicycles. As for patrolling, sometimes we were just on foot,
because the radius to be controlled was around 200 meters," he said.
Sukitman rushed to ride his bicycle in a way against the direction.
While his partner is still on guard.
Sukitman did not expect the gunfire to be the beginning of the kidnappings of the generals.
He thought there had been a robbery.
After searching for a sound source, Sukitman realized the shot was from the house of General DI Panjaitan.
According to him, the house was surrounded by troops.
Sukitman did not know what was happening, suddenly a soldier in red camouflage uniforms tried to stop him.
"Get down! Throw weapons and raise your hand!"
Sukitman, who was only 22 years old, said he was shocked and weak.
He immediately obeyed what was ordered.
Then, Sukitman was dragged. His hands are bound and his eyes are closed.
He was thrown into a truck. According to him, he was placed next to the driver.
Even though in a state of closed eyes, Sukitman sharpened his instincts.
He wanted to know where the troops took him away.
However, he began to lose orientation after the car turned right from the direction of Cawang.
"Anyway, I surrender to God while praying," he said.
The vehicle on board Sukitman stopped.
He was lowered and his eyes closed.
Sukitman is not yet familiar with the brightly lit conditions.
He heard someone say someone was dead.
"Yani has been killed," said Sukitman.
After soldiers holding Sukitman knew that he was a police officer, Sukitman was taken to a tent.
In the tent, the soldier reported to his superior, "General Panjaitan's bodyguard was taken prisoner."
Sukitman saw a person covered in blood in a supine position.
There are also those who sit on chairs in conditions similar to those on their backs.
Then, Sukitman was held in front of the house.
The day was getting brighter, Sukitman clearly saw a group of people gathering around the well 10 meters
away from where he was taken hostage.
"Ganyang kabir,Ganyang kabir" shouted the crowd.
The human body is thrown into a well which is then bombarded with bullets.
Sukitman had seen a prisoner still alive with a two-star rank on his shoulders, stopping for a moment in his hostage.
"After his eyes were opened and his ties were released, at gunpoint, the hostage was forced to sign something
. But it seemed he refused and rebelled. The man was tied back, his eyes closed again,
and dragged and immediately thrown into a well surrounded by
bloodthirsty humans it's in a head down position, "he recalls.
After the cruel action stopped, the well was filled with garbage and planted with banana trees.
The person who held Sukitman hostage felt he was not an enemy.
He was called to face First Lieutenant Dul Arief who asked where Sukitman's weapon was.
Finally Sukitman explained what had happened before being dragged to the place.
Sukitman's weapon was found even though it was broken.
Sukitman was taken to the Penas Building (Bypass area, now Jalan Jenderal A Yani).
Day after night, Sukitman, who was still under surveillance, was invited to bring rice.
"Where?" Sukitman asked.
"To the Crocodile hole, where the generals were killed," said Corporal Iskak, the man who invited him.
"It was at that time that I just learned that what was people said “Ganyang kabir”that's the generals, "said Sukitman.
The road taken through Cililitan, Kramat Jati, Pasar Hek is not something foreign to
Sukitman, because he used to train in the area.
After taking the rice, they immediately returned to the Penas Building to distribute rice to the troops.
Feeling tired, Sukitman finally fell asleep.
The day has changed, but the opportunity for Sukitman to escape is very small.
At around 14.00 WIB, Sukitman felt his head dizzy.
He decided to go under the truck to lie down.
Sukitman uses a helmet to block his head, his broken weapon is placed nearby.
His dizzy head was tied with a scraf that had previously been used by troops who held him hostage.
When Sukitman fell asleep he heard gunshots from various directions.
"Although I heard heavy gunfire, for some reason my eyes did not want to be compromised to be literate," he said.
When I woke up in the afternoon around 16.00 West Indonesia Time, Sukitman could not find a large number of troops.
He was only alone in that place even though the truck was still lined up.
After that, he met with troops who were searching for members involved in the G30S / PKI.
Sukitman was taken to the Cakrabirawa headquarters.
After meeting with a number of people, he was finally taken to the
Merdeka road to face the Kostrad Commander Major General Suharto.
